Approximate Autumn Haikus

[A] After putting away Their summer shirts of Green linen

Oak trees in the yard, tonight Wear long smoky cloaks Studded with bright stars!

[B] In the morning Someone sits at the window Knitting lace

Over the blue sky, With swift needles Of airplanes.

Jazz from a Conversation - 1

[A] Moving from future to reality

Of light diminishing into the body: their's, night's. In the dark, a song begins, Hands clapping, a line Of lanterns coming down The side of a mountian

Treasure of an inner prayer

Held in an amulet at her neck, Throbbing with each clear note, Dew glistens on desire's blade.

'Take me to the higher edge'- So the lady cries to the stars,

As they leap off their orbits. The sky fills with flaming manes. Of horses. Opening and closing of time between the bars of light, of guitars.

Crashing against the deep lie, A man runs out of the silence ...

Of his heart. It is beating, A small mallet against her chest: "Open to me, Give me entrance"

A lullaby, a chain broken, A dry mouth reaching for the honey from her sex,

Hummingbird tapping at the window, Glassy ice seprates his lips From aromas and waters flowing At the roots of her hair

A cry for liberation.

[B]

Night falls, over the shadows. Moon prowls parking lots looking for her body of eyes.

Moving from a lonely corner A cat is sipping at the deep Fountain of their gestures

Which resemble bare branches of trees Trashing in stormy lighting. Death approaches this city at dusk On abandonded railway tracks.

Life thrashes around, a fish Eyelashes of a child in the womb

Till the primary source of love, Makes them still. Again the moment has been saved.

The song ends. Hair on the blanket. Tears frozen on the floor. Which legs are his? Which neck her's? And which kiss the hidden child's?
